Where are we now since 9/11?

So how different are we today vs. fourteen years ago on September 11th? So many rushed out and bought flags, stood and sang during the National Anthem at football games. Many prayed fervently for the first time. So where are we today? Are we still changed and on track? Are we moving forward making a difference in our world? Or, have we gotten comfortable once again? Have we been so focused on high gas prices that we have lost our vision?

Hopefully we have stayed the course! Hopefully we are making a difference in our communities! Hopefully what happened inside of us fourteen years ago, on a bright and beautiful day in New York City, was more than just an emotional moment. Hopefully that moment was more than just a shed tear that has long since dried up. Along with the gut feeling that we felt, many for the first time in our lives, new found patriotism may have caused us to realize how blessed we are as a nation! Stay the course! Don’t lose that edge that you gained back then. Go forward and make a difference! Why else would we be put here?

About Let's Ask Dad

I'm just a common man with sometimes uncommon thoughts. I want to be the encourager, the mentor, and a coach to those who feel like giving up. I have been blessed with a quiver full of children and have gained much wisdom in the process of raising them. I am blessed to be married to the most amazing woman I know. She is everything to me and life wouldn't be the same without her. I count my blessings daily!
